Flight controllers shouldn't be expensive black boxes. We wanted to build something affordable enough to experiment with, programmable enough to understand, and accessible enough that anyone in the community could get started.
So we built our own around the ESP32-S3. You flash it over USB-C with no programmer, configure it from a browser over WiFi with no ground station app, and control it from your phone. Underneath, it runs dual-core FreeRTOS with cascaded PID control.
Revision 3 is the one we finally stopped tweaking and started trusting. Every file is now public: schematic, BOM, firmware, and everything you need to build your own. No expensive hardware, no proprietary black box. Just a flight controller you can build, program, understand, and make your own.

All of it is published, not just the parts that make us look good. Build your own from these files and you owe us nothing. MIT firmware, CERN-OHL-P hardware.
Read this before you pay
- The board only. No USB cable, no motor leads, no frame, no motors, no propellers, no battery.
- There is no barometer and no GPS on this board, so altitude hold and position hold are not possible without adding sensors yourself. It is an angle and rate mode board.
- You need to be comfortable soldering motor leads and flashing firmware over USB. If you have never done either, ask in the group before you order and someone will walk you through it.
- If it was faulty when it left here, I replace it for six months. Not if it was connected backwards, and I will tell you honestly which one it was.

Yes, if
- You are building a small brushed quad, roughly 65 to 90 mm
- You want to poke at an ESP32-S3 rather than a flight controller you cannot open
- You want hardware you can actually read: schematic, BOM and firmware all public
- You are alright soldering motor leads and flashing a board over USB
- You are happy learning in angle or rate mode, hand flown, line of sight
No, if
- You are building anything brushless. There are no ESC outputs on this board at all
- You want Betaflight, INAV or any existing firmware. This runs its own, and porting is not a small job
- You are building a 5 inch FPV quad. Wrong class of aircraft entirely
- You need altitude hold or position hold. No barometer and no GPS, so it cannot do either
- You want something that flies out of the box. This is a bare board and a manual
Still not sure? Ask in the community group before you spend anything. Nobody there is on commission, and being told you do not need one is a perfectly good outcome.
There is no company behind this.
This board came out of a WhatsApp group I started in 2024 because I had nobody to ask. It is not a product line and there is no support desk. If something is wrong you are messaging the person who drew the schematic, in a room with 1,100 other people who build these.
